Who is able to rent gear?

WildKind Closet is for EVERYBODY! We believe that all families should be able to get outside and adventure together. This season we are limiting our rentals to folks who are able to pickup their loaner gear in Denver, Colorado. As we grow and secure more funding, we hope to expand nationally via an extensive shipping system.

How do gear rentals work?

We promise: it’s easy! Browse through our gear library and find the items that you will need for the season. Reserve the selected products via our online rental system and provide payment with a credit card. Then, come pick up the gear during the allotted date and time. In August, we’ll shoot you an email with the scheduled drop-off date in September. Once again, you’ll meet the WildKind Closet team at a predetermined location and time to hand over your loaner gear. Nothing to it!

How much does a seasonal rental cost?

To help handle the general wear and tear of items in the gear loaner library, we ask for a flat rate of $20 per item. This nominal fee ensures we can care, maintain, and repair the gear for future loaner families.

What happens if I don’t live in Denver?

Our vision is to grow nationally within the next 1-3 years. Once we secure donor support and funding, we can expand our shipping network to ship products outside of the Denver Metro area. However, for the 2021 loaner season, you must be able to pickup your items in Denver.

What do I need to rent gear from WildKind Closet?

We ask that all borrowers use a current credit card to reserve and pay for their loaner items. No cash or check payments will be accepted at this time.

What if gear gets damaged during the season during my rental period?

We understand that sometimes gear can get damaged. Luckily, the items in our library are high quality and can typically be repaired. Please let us know if any major issues pops up during your loaner period. If we are unable to repair an item and it cannot be used, a flat rate of $100 will be charged to your credit card.

Is there an option to purchase gear at the end of the season at a discounted price?

We are not currently selling any of our loaner items.

What happens if I don’t return the gear?

If we don’t receive the loaner items back at the end of the seasonal, you will be charged the full retail value on your credit card.
